On July 15, 2010 I received a phone call from Lucy in the Water Department for the City of Hanis. She informed me that Medina County handles their euthanasia of animals. Lucy said that an animal control officer comes out from the County to pickup animals. I explained to her that Medina County uses carbon monoxide (gas) chamber to euthanize their City’s animals. She was absolutely devastated to hear this. Lucy told me she wished there was some way to change the policy, but that the City of Hanis does not have a city council/mayor to contact about this issue.

Come on Medina County and STOP the gassing already!!!
